Bet some of you been wondering where I been.... some of you don't care and some of you are thinking ... oh God is he back.

Well since the holiday life here has been a bit, well actually it's been bad.

As some of you know I was rushed with Kidney stones to the ER in San Diego on holiday and given a CT Scan. The scan showed up a mass on my adrenal gland that I was told "could be cancer or anything but don't worry". 5000+ miles from home I did of course worry.

When I got home I saw the local doctor and she sent me to see a consultant/specialist. Well ... Many blood tet and Urine tests and a ultra sound scans later I was invited back and told that I have an enlarges spleen and have too much uric acid in my blood.

The Spleen I am waiting for an appointment with a haematologist. And tomorrow I have an appointment about the uric acid in the blood.

Last Friday after another CT Scan I was seen by the consultant/specialist in a priovate hospital locally and I was told that I do NOT have cancer of the adrenal gland or kidney or the urinary system.

This as you can appriciate is a relief.

When I came along to the Meet up I had been booked off sick with stress and was facing depression to a degree. So I want to say sorry for being a miserable bugger. I got home that night and it took me three days to recover my strength.

Well once I get the haematology appointments sorted, and the uric acid (probablly mean a diet that makes me miss out on my favourite foods :( )
I should be back on my feet and taking crap photos again for you all to laugh at or ignore* Delete as applicable ;)

So ... sorry I been missing ... sorry I been a miserable old sod.

Well hope all the usual suspects are ok and that you are all doing well.

May your God be with you.

Neil.

That's quite an ordeal...glad to know that things aren't as bad as they could have been. Welcome back.

must have ben very scarey for you.

get well soon

Good news then! Glad to hear nothing bad is going to happen, except maybe the diet!

Take it easy, relax more and look after your self.

And don't forget to pop in regularly & post some pictures!

Feeling miserable is no fun, I'm glad the docs have ruled out the "C" word. I hope the tests tell them what they need to know and they can get you all straightened out, with diet or otherwise. :)

Glad to hear you've got it all straightened out.

And welcome back. I've missed ignoring your photos. ;)

Wow thats a lot to go through. Glad to hear that it's not the Big C. Good luck to you.

Come on!
You were no miserable old sod at the meet-up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Nothing there that you would need to say "sorry" for! Not one thing (that I noticed, that is).
What you went through is some sort of ordeal, no doubt, and that fear of having cancer can put you to the brink of depression is so absolutely not surprising!
I am sorry to hear that all in all the trip out to the meet-up and the day spent with us drained your of you energies so totally and completely! I am really sorry for that.
Look at the link below all my posts, click, find out about what I am planning, put that into your calendar for 2008, and here you will be able to lean back and let all the things I mean to plan for the Germany-meet-up just happen around you without any further stress or even thinking on your part ;). Hm?

I am glad to see you back and really enjoyed meeting you in person and talking to you in London on 2 September!!!!

I hope for a very speedy recovery for you now!!!

Glad the "C" has been ruled out! I hope all will be fine after all the tests you do. Keep us up to date.

Thanks for all the good wishes etc. everyone.

LaFoto, I did feel less than good on the day and I felt that I wasn't as fun as I could have been, even slipping away when I did. Even walking to the local station to go to work at the time was tiring me out. But past couple weeks I been feeling a little more stronger even getting to game with a friend and taking to odd photo (well about 200 a game).

I hope to pop over for some of 2008 .... but also the European Championships are in Austria this time and I might pop over to capture the atmosphere for a while (even the TPF could be interested maybe ?)

Cheers Midget Patrol ...... I know I've had hours of fun ignoreing yours too ;)

The Doc last night has NOT put me on a diet, but has advised me to avoid the booze, Mussels, heart and sardines .... funny that ... I never eat them anyways ... and rarely drink any booze ! ! !

Soooooo Thanks again all ;)

Didn't realise that you were miserable at the meet, and lets face it, you were more athletic than Jerry! ;)

Look forward to seeing you at another meet at another time Neil, your stories of 'when I were a lad' are not to be missed!

Now that's not funny! :biglaugh: ( :blushing: )

And you were able to do stairs!

(Sorry Jerry, but your protests about all those damn steps was hilarious! )

Good to hear that cancer was ruled out, and that we'll see more of your around the forum. You were missed. (And you were NOT a miserable buggah during the meetup. I thought you were a hoot). Take good care of yourself, okay?? :hugs:
