    Hi folks!

I am an amateur photographer and shoot mostly wildlife and aviation related stuff. I hope to become a professional aviation photographer and get hired by the nearby Air Force Base.

I own a Canon EOS 50D with a 28-135mm IS kit lens. I hope to be upgrading to a much longer lens soon.

I am an aviation enthusiast and animal lover. I have two parrots, 3 fish tanks (all freshwater, two 3 gallon tanks, one 12 gallon), and 5 land hermit crabs in a 30 gallon tank.

I also paint and draw, and have been doing so since I was very small.

Welcome, if I may if interject on hoping to get hired on at the Air Force base you'll need more than aviation photo experience, most base photographers also cover media related events as well as working with the Security Forces for photos needed at non major incidents. (I'm retired AF and have worked with alert photo that's the on call photographer).

You can see some really great examples over at AF.mil - Photos

    Best of luck to you

    Rick

Thank you so much for the valuable advice. I'll keep that in mind as I work toward my dream.
