Hi, I have recently purchased a Canon Xsi (upgrading from a point and shoot PowerShot) as well as the 50mm f/1.8 lens to experiment with. I am completely new to the world of photography and have been reading book after book trying to understand all the concepts. I really enjoy taking pictures of my children, trying to capture every moment of their childhood. This is also my first time checking out any forum so this also is new to me
