Well, I'm totally new here. Well, I've posted one question so far.
I was recently given (for no reason at all - I have a wonderful husband) a fab Canon EOS 20D.
I have only ever really a point-and-shoot camera before, apart from a fairly basic film SLR. Up until a few weeks ago I had never even really thought about what aperture, shutter speed, depth-of-field, etc. meant. I just took pictures.
I hope those days are well and truly over. I haven't taken a lot of pictures with my new camera yet, but am still trying to educate myself on how to use it properly to make the most of it. I must say though, so far I am impresssed!
I hope that, should I ask some very silly questions in the future, all of you 'pros' won't get annoyed.
So, here is to a long friendship.
