    Interesting. This article appears elsewhere on the web, under different author's names. Who wrote it?

    "In the history of digital photography the first prototype of the digital camera was created by Sony in1981. This digital camera was called Mavica which meant Magnetic Video Camera."

    The Mavica was an analogue camera, not a digital one. The stored signal was similar to analogue video, not digital.
