No its not Xmas but a funny thing just happened.
On another board, someone posted an image and I asked for permission to edit and got a posted response that the OP couldn't see how it could be improved. So I just cropped it and sent it by PM to the original poster.

The OP shot back a nasty gram that said the edit looked oversaturated, overworked and overedited. I took great pleasure in saying that all I did was crop.

but was the shot saved in the same colour space? if it wasn't that could explain the difference in colour

I opened it as it was downloaded (sRGB) and saved it sRGB.

The OP was just looking to have a reason to not allow edits - and my 'butchery' was almost it.

Actually, it was sort of amazing how much difference the crop made in creating the point of interest. (and improving the shot immensely of course)
