home made lighting

I know this has been discussed a number of times but I can't find any of the threads. Does any one have suggestions regarding crafting some inexpensive backdrops and effective light boxes with readily available materials from for example, Home Depot? Or possibly a link?

I built a light tent out of 1" PVC pipe, some T connectors and a white sheet. I then picked up some posterboard in various colors as a backdrop.

If I find any pics I will post them but basically its just a box with a sheet draped over the top and some lights placed on the sides and over the top. It took very little time and I spent more on the sheet than I did on the PVC or posterboard but the whole thing was easily less than $20
