Homeless shelter work

My wife and her team at work threw a christmas party for a homeless shelter last night. The shelter is designed for women that have nowhere else to go. They allow womean and children only, and offer day care and job placement for the resedents. Anyway my wife thought it would be nice if I came and took some photographs of the party as well as some holiday shots of the children. Here are a few of my favorite shots.

This was one of the presents that we gave to the kids. I forgot to mention, my wife and I got a list of all of the children and their ages and bought them all a present.

The biggest thing I didn't like about the shots was the lack of catch lights. It was pretty hectic (with 12 kids running around) and I didn't get to really work on anything tecnique wise... oh well.

That curly haired kid is so adorable in the first shot.

Yeah I thought so too. I really likes the kids. They were all so happy to be there doing stuff with us.
