Val said it best in another thread. "I don't take pictures of graphs," I'm glad to see Val has chosen to ignore the "problem" and get back to taking photos.

You must have miserable luck. I've never noticed any problems on my d80 but now I'm tempted to shoot a white surface and pore over it for dead pixels.

Shoot black screen at iso 1600 and 1/30. But then if you find any, you might have trouble with sleep :greenpbl: so why bother...

There's a backup battery.

Right, thats what it takes weeks to discharge. It is also the reason the first few battery charges do not last as long... they are working the camera and charging that internal battery/
