I love these little guys. They are getting pretty rare here though, they used to build their nests in little nooks and crannies of houses. But today we try to build our houses as energy efficient as possible, so there are no holes for them to build nests in anymore.

Nice shot. We have a woodpecker that keeps making holes in the insulation. He only gets about 5cm deep before hitting concrete and then starts over again a couple of feet further.. . Our house owner is getting quite p!$$ed to say the least. A couple of sparrows have used the holes for nesting recently

I would be getting pissed off as well if a woodpecker would keep punching little craters into my property XD
