My 5D's sensor is still slightly dirty in spots after 3 sensor swabs in a row.

The dust seems to accumulate much faster on my 5D than it ever did on my 10D, and seems to be harder to remove.

I'm looking for suggestions and procedures that work reliably to remove dust.

Sensor swabs work well for me. As long as you've got rid of about 90% of the dust, the rest are usually just in the corners and easy to clone out on the rare occasion that you need to.

Do what I did. Use a Rocket Blower as your first attempt and hopefully that will do the trick. You can swap the sensor using a full frame sensor cleaning kit by Eclipse, sold at Calumet. It's $20 and by far the best deal as it comes with Eclipse fluid, swabs, and pec pads. I use the pec pads on my lenses (if needed) with the eclipse fluid.

I find the Eclipse/swab method is not necessary most of the time. A good rocket blowing does just fine.
