How long before Canon T2i body is available?

The kit is being sold online for $100 more with the crappy 18-55 lens, but I don't want the lens. How long does it take for the body to be sold alone? I see it on several sites, but they all say it hasn't been released yet.

New item - No arrival date known

They aren't taking pre-orders or 'will notify when in stock' yet either.

yes, i'm aware. i have check several websites and they all say the same thing. i am just wondering what the typical time to wait until they sell JUST the body is. i'm assisting in teaching a workshop in mid may and need it by then.

well, maybe no one has an answer to your actual question... We don't really have any more information than you do?

Maybe call Canon? They MIGHT be able to answer your question...

Yeah if you look on the link I posted it does say there is one used. But it's a $150 more than a new one
