have a 4 month old canon 30d barely used (2 weddings, apprx 1000 shots) & a 580 EX flash... the camera bought new with the new(er) lens that came with it & the flash i bought used about 2 months old. i was asking 1200$ for it all, as well as a 512mb memory card... heard that was too much ?? thoughts?

Can't really say since we don't know what lens you have. If the camera body is truly in mint condition, you should get about $625 for it.

If you check EBay, I believe "used" ones, body only, run about $600-$700.

Not sure what lens you have. If you have the 28-135 (I believe this is their new "kit lens"), the lens is worth $150-$250 on EBay.

I was thinking about selling my 30D to get a 40D, but decided to go with better lens instead.

or look at B+H (except currently they are all sold out of used) I think they were around the 700$ mark body only
