how to find out which settings I used in photoshop?

I need help figuring out which settings I used in photoshop elements. Here is the scenario. I am working on a photo and I am at level number 20. On level number 5 I used some motion blur. I used motion blur again in level 10 with a different setting. Now I want to apply the same setting I used in level 5 to another picture (or again the same picture). If I open motion blur it shows me the last settings (those on level 10). How do I find out what I used in level 5?

If you are quite neat, in PS you can rename a blur layer with the setting, angle, amount.

Like Traveler said create layers and rename them to what action you took. Layer1 --> MotionBlur5... Layer30--> MotionBlur10 but that is a lot of work.
