how's this work? Sony a300 accesories

I have a sony a300...how do I attach sync cords etc to strobes? The manual says nothing

how would one sync all of these together:

First of all, those are flood lights, you don't need to sync to them because they are constant lights. I wouldn't recommend those types of lights though...flash is probably better.

Your camera doesn't have a PC port, so you would need a hotshoe to PC adapter, something like THIS. Just make sure that you get one, that is compatible with your camera, I think I've heard that the Sony hotshoe isn't standard but I might be wrong.

So is that the end all solution to sync-ing or does each PC cord have a specific notch/groove/whatever?

PC connections are pretty standard, but different lights may have different connections on that end. I think that most studio lights now use a standard 1/8th mono plug (mini plug etc). Most lights will come with a cord that has a PC connector.

You could also get a wireless system, so that you don't have to run a cable.

it looks like you can slide another flash on the top there, yes/no?? would that make my camera universaly adaptable to non sony flashes then?
