No background, but I assume that was what you were going for. Cool.

It was actually taken outdoors. The subject was in the shade and as the sun set parts of the background were spotted with sunlight. The bird just happened to fly in as a spot of sun hit the background, and that is what you're seeing. I think it give an interesting effect. Next time, i'm going to spin myself a bit and try some different background effects.

I like the shots off your blog that have some wing action in there, and as mention, a background. I like the shot, but it looks washed out with the sterile white background...just my opinion.

Nice shot. I think a faster shutter speed might have helped because it looks wing-less. You don't necessarily have to freeze the action, but I do want to see the wings.

Sometimes a blank background can set the bird off, sometimes a blank background is all you get.

Here's one of mine taken in the late afternoon.

Yeah, now that i've looked at them a little closer, I agree. I'll shoot more though. This is addictive. Tricky, but addictive.

They are very addictive. I spent a few weeks recovering from a surgery and it gave me an opportune time to try and catch these little buggers. There were a lot more misses than hits, but those few felt very satisfying.

You may know this already, but someone else was shooting them recently and I gave this little diddy of information that I gleaned.
