Ok, the DEPOSIT has been paid. The annual leave has been booked. On Monday 6th February, I will be picking up the following:

Canon EOS 350D,
Spare battery for 350D
2 x Sandisk Extreme 1Gb cards
Canon EF 50mm f1.8 Mk II
Canon EF 85mm f1.2L USM
Canon EF 100-400mm f4.5/5.6L IS USM

I've never owned a digital camera before, except the two crap compacts I sent back to the shop a day later! This had better be good. Or you'll see it for sale here on the classifieds. :greenpbl:

Although that 100-400 is breaking my "nothing darker than 1.8" rule, I really like it for portraits - it's very soft and flattering!

That's too cool. Too bad we didn't coordinate...Canon and Nikon don't talk to each other, so we won't be able to share lens at the meetup...eh, probably healthier that way anyway :lmao:
