I actually got up for the sunrise

Well the almanac said sunrise of 5:45am. So I got up on Saturday at 5am. I was standing around for about 45 mins waiting for the sun to peek over the hill... oh well...

The top one must be the first one you took - it still has so much blue in the shadows, it really gives the feel of a dawn. Very nice.

On my days off I'm usually up at the cracl of noon, maybe that's why I miss these types of shots. That and the fact that we don't have cactus around these parts!
