I can't post pictures

I'm sure I'm not the first to have problems with posting photos for the first time but I have attempted to follow the pictorial instructions I signed up with Flickr uploaded photos but at that point the instructions do not match what I am looking at I am using a Mac so I'm not sure if that has something to do with it. I have tried both methods with Flickr and the URL method and in both cases the drop down boxes that are supposed to be there are not. If anyone else has had this issue please give me a hand in resolving this.

This is where I was trying to follow the instructions but when it says there will be a drop down box to size the photo and to enter the photo address there is no box?

Resize it before you upload it to the hosting site.
