Hi everyone,

I seem to be struggling to find a place on the net to get CC and help in improving my photography skills.

A little about me. I did one year of a photography degree in 1990, I then left uni to travel and see the world.

I got back into photography around 3 years ago, I had been a commercial artist for 15 years, and felt I needed a change.

I am loving my new direction. I bought a slr camera, and re learnt some skills. I then hired a professional photographer, for 20 hours a week ( for 8 months) to teach me the finer details of digital and studio photography ( I was learning film way back when)

...I then got some work, bought a new camera, and here I am 2 years later, looking for cc and any education I can get on taking better photos.

I have since also had some photoshop tutoring ( aghh, learning slowly!)

Anyway....my predicament is, I am a female and I do erotic photography mostly, glamour bourdior, and nudes.

I find I can't post my work anywhere on the net for fear of it being "porn" or seen as sleazy, and can not get CC or join any forums showing my photos.

So this year, I am going to try and take some more "normal" shots, and participate in the forums , so I can guage how I am doing, and the areas I need to improve on.

I am also looking to get out of my studio more and use natural light more often this year.

Looking forward to getting to know some of you here , and learning from you.

:)

Get posting. We'd love to see your work. Also I'm pretty sure you can ask for CC on your more risque pictures as long as you don't post the picture directly and make sure to label it *NOT WORK SAFE* but I might be wrong there.

If you leave a link for your work, and label it NSFW (not safe for work), you should be fine. it's been done before. As long as they're NOT porn...which also happens a lot...lol.

Good luck.

And post it in the critique forum. They'll tare it to bits. Just don't expect us to be friendly when we find it in there.

And even if it is porn...I doubt members will be complaining much!:greenpbl:

Where did you go on your travels?
