I dont think my last thread title worked..LEGALIZING COPYRIGHT THEFT!

Please post the number and official name of the bill.

I searched thomas.loc.gov and can't find any bill currently filed.

Honestly, this little piece of legislation goes against every facet of private American enterprise. I'm fairly certain it will get shot down in congress.

This may be a red herring.
I can't find any legislation with that title.
If it is a rider on another bill, the OP needs to post the number of the bill.

I don't know what to make of this. Mark Simon's article is full of alarmist, call to action issues and a reporting style summarizing work from other journalists.

On the flip side, I located (not within Mr. Simon's reporting) and read the Orphan Act of 2006 (HR 5439 IH) which doesn't read the same way as Mr. Simon's reporting of it. If anything, HR 5439 IH looks to help enforce copyright law when someone uses a work they "claim" has been orphaned.

Sounds like the NRA's emails - which is one reason I classed NRA email as spam. It's full of alarmist stuff and requests for money. I only joined the NRA because Grassroots members annoyed me so much that I refused to join them and my gun club requires members to be a member of a gun rights organisation. Having said that I enjoy reading American Rifleman (though I don't actually buy magazines)
