i iz in trouble

when i shoot raw on my nikon d40, and i go to upload them, only my jpeg files show up. what is upppp with that? i use scanner and photo wizard or whatever its called. anywho, i have photoshop and windows xp but how do i get my raw files to get on my computer?

Don't use the Scanner and photo wizard, it just gets in the way. Open up your card directly and just drag-n'-drop the NEF's in whatever folder you want. From there, you'll be able to do whatever you want with them safely.

Not sure exactly since I've just started shooting in RAW as well, but try putting your camera on the setting where it only takes RAW, not RAW and JPEG, just to see what happens...

And it should show up as NEF on your comp, then when you open it with photoshop you start editing and stuff then save it as JPEG or however you want to save it...
