I liked the lighting, hated the b/g

    I took this pic, loved the lighting on his face but the background was too bright soooo I had a play _DSC9606beore.jpg

    and I'm happy with the result

    Very nice mate, it's still very dark but I think it works well.

    I've not calibrated this monitor in ages but it looks too dark on my screen, if yours looks good its all OK as I like the shot itself. I prefer the colour version though.

    I like it, well done!

    I would crop a bit on the right though. Too much empty space.

    Yes too my liking it looks underexposed, why dont you try playing with shadows tool in PS or lightroom

    I like the shadowed look here. Very mysterious. Great job on eliminating the distracting background and enhancing the photo.
