On another forum not related to photography a member posted a link to a galery of photos that was being praised. I checked it out & must say I was not the least bit impressed. How say you folks?

That's the thing about photography. There are so many tastes that you never know. Some people love Ansel Adams. Some people go eh ok. You never know.

Some of them are pretty good, but many are quite boring. I would've done a few of them very differently.

Well, I take it from these few responses that I am not alone in my opinion.

I am thinking several folk here on the beginners forum should have their work hung in that gallery.

I can think of about 7465786 ways the photographer could have made these photos MORE interesting.

Angles do wonders for perspective. D'oh.

The only one that caught my eye was Conception Bay and then only just a little.

I know I'm pretty much not going to like something when my brain thinks the only way to improve an image is to photoshop in a Deathstar in the background.

I like a few of them quite a bit and others aren't as good. The artist is much better than I am though so I'm not going to be quick to make too many judgements.
