The website's compatibility chart shows it being compatible up to the 600r. That's not to say it won't work with the 1200w/s Profoto CF strobe, it just hasn't been tested. The Explorer XT shows it can be used with strobes up to 2400w/s, so it's possible that it will work. You could always contact the company and ask. That's one of the surest methods of finding out.
 
I have the Explorer 1200, which is the lowest-powered model. I use it with smaller power supplies, like 400 and 600 watt-second power packs. And although it will power a Speedotron 2400 watt-second pack, the recycle times with that much of an overload are too long for my taste. I would be tempted to go with the XT or XT SE, since those have a higher power rating than the 1200 model. Check the manufacturer's extensive compatibility list if there's doubt. These are not designed to power "digital" flash units.
