    On the 13th, I am getting a digital camera. I cannot afford a DSLR and it would probably be too advanced for me. Can anyone inform me on an Advanced Compact digital camera or where to find one because I have no idea about shopping for cameras.

    Thanks.

    [FONT=Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]Casio EX-Z850.

    Great little camera (I know, I know, it's a Casio...). Allows full manual operation, huge LCD, produces good images, and about $350-400. Look on pricegrabber.com for the merchant with the best price.

    8.5 MP too.

    Sorry, posted this in your other thread. Meant for it to be in here.

    Perhaps saying your approximate price range, what cameras you have been considering, as well as what type(s) of photography you are interested in might help. :)

    On another thread I mentioned the Canon Powershot S1/S2/S3 IS line which falls around the $500 range I do believe, as well as the Powershot A610/A620 which is closer to the $300-$400.
    Your best bet would probably be to start looking at www.dpreview.com
