Hey I just need some advise from all of you guys here on the photo forum.

I’m going to be shooting a high-class swing show/dinner party tonight. Its like black tie and everything! There will be around 200 people there. They have swing dance lessons going on and I’m photographing the whole event! I need advise all around from anyone who has done anything like this before. Also we are selling people there photos of them dancing soo if you have any advise on how to do that too, that would be helpful! Please answer to this post ASAP like I said I shoot tonight!

Use a very fast lens (2.8 or faster) and a powerful flash. You could shoot tethered and show photos right there on a laptop - but thats not something that can really be setup at the last moment.

You could also hand out cards with a website where they can purchase prints - again not easy at the last moment but you could print them yourself. Print the business cards with a custom web address like:

www.yoursitehere.com/proofs/dancinggala

After the event publish the photos and wait for sales.
