I need help with white background, it is not looking white

thanks everyone. I will play around with things a bit and get it to go right. No, I have never shot in RAW before, why, because it kinda scares me, lol. What are the advantages of shooting in raw? More of an advantage to editing?

If you shot in raw you could have probably taken care of the color balance problem in post, rather than having to reshoot.

But more than anything, you've got some really flat, close to blown out images. Try using just one light on the subject to get more character to the light.

If you want to blow out your background, two lights with umbrellas pointed straight at the background will take care of it pretty cleanly.

WOW i commented before i saw them
He is stood way too close to background, are you using studio flash if so set WB to flash, your 2 lights on the background need to be 1-2 stops above your main light, ditch the gold umbrella waste of time and get a shoot through. Set your camera to about F11 @ 1/125 check histogram and adjust lights up or down or F stop
