Can others edit my Photos
Photos NOT OK to edit
OK folks, here's the deal. I am trying to compile a list of all things nautical. The list should include everything from books and stories to movies and music, paintings, plays, and dance...if it has an ocean, sea, lake, river, stream, creek, ship, boat, canoe, or anything else reference, I want it on the list.
It can be a poem that is all about the sea (The Rime of the Ancient Mariner), or a passing reference in the lyrics of a song (The Cure's Just like Heaven: "...And found myself alone alone / Alone above a raging sea / That stole the only girl I loved / And drowned her deep inside of me"). It can be a movie all about the water (Titanic), or a tv show about shipwrecked people ("Gilligan's Island").
Nothing is too vague of a reference for this list.
Feel free to post here or to email me directly at [email protected]. Don't forget to name the author, the year of movies, and the band for music (and the line of the song that has the reference).
Thanks for your help.
To get things started:
  • Just Like Heaven, The Cure : "...And found myself alone alone / Alone above a raging sea / That stole the only girl I loved / And drowned her deep inside of me"
  • Titanic, 1997
  • The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald, Gordon Lightfoot
  • The Rime of the Ancient Mariner, Samuel Taylor Coleridge
