Hi there
Tonight I have little play with my light setup (SB600 bounced off silwer umbrella) and that's the result.

I'm quite happy about result. Tell me please what you think?

And you should be. That's very well done. The only very minor nit I have is that the reflection of the umbrella in her eyes is a little much, but that is easily touched up.

Tom: Overall, the lighting is too flat and even. You don't have any "modeling effect" -- that is, light and shadow sculpting the face. Try moving the light higher and to one side a bit. Also, the background is not a flattering color and is also the same tone as everything else. I did a quick edit job in PhotoShop to demonstrate a more interesting lighting effect. I darkened the background, lightened the left side of the face, and then painted in some shadows under the nose, under the lips, right side of nose, right eye socket, right cheek, etc. Don't go by the sloppy Photoshop work; it's just intended to show you another way to do this. Good luck with it.
