Waah!!

I've recently figured out how to post photos. Having figured out how to enlarge the pics, I posted them (in "Themes"). But, I have a few questions?

1. Why are the colours different in the posts, than in my photos?

2. Why do some appear less charp in my posts, than in my photos?

...My scanner and computer screen are of 'good' quality, I suppose (Dell, and LexMark). I did read something about calebrating your screen? Is that what I'm going to have to do??

Thanks for any help you can offer!!:

Yes, you should calibrate your screen. Look up a Spyder3. They are physical devices that work in tandem with software to correct your screen. If they work well on this horrid piece of garbage I'm using, they should work well on any decent monitor.

Also check your color spaces. If you are saving in something other than sRGB, you are working in a color space that is overall not considered "web friendly" Tragically most browsers do not color manage properly, so sRGB is the best choice.
