Hey i shoot with a D60 but im trying to get experience with shooting with a 35 mm Film Cam. I wanna know if therre are any experts on film photography that would be able to suggest an ideal 35mm slr.\

I've been looking around. i saw the NIKON N8008S AF. i seems this one is much older than the others i was looking at like the f50, f60 ,or the f80. Whats the deal like are the realy ancient ones better or what ?

    Go manual.

    Classic student cameras are:
    Canon AE1
    Nikon FE2
    Pentax ME/ME Super/Super Program.K1000.

I've used 'em all. Super Program is the best hands down. Aperture priority, easy to read light meter, great glass, affordable body. The glass is generally cheaper than Canon or Nikon b/c there are more Canon/Nikon shooters looking for used glass than Pentax shooters.

So u would suggest the FE over something like the F60 with faster shutter speeds?

    And anyword on the F69?

No, I wouldn't suggest the FE. It only does shutter speed priority and won't ap. priority, which in a lot of cases really sucks. It's also really clunky and has a hard-to-read light meter.

I dont wanna go from Digi to Film . Im still going to shoot digi forever. I just feel its important to know about Film shooting and how its done. I also feel the fact that i wont be able to preview any of my work before its developed would help me with my exposure practice. i also, Film cams produce the best photos.

I do, or I wouldn't have asked. You see how that works yes? I take an interest, I ask a question. Marvelous thing this internet.

I dig the first points, but the last one is debatable especially in this age of photographicary. Kudo's on the drive to "know ones roots" though, and I imagine film developing is in and of itself its own "hobby".

I use a Nikon FM2. It works wonderfully for me. Then again, I've never had the chance to shoot on any other 35mm bodies... better or worse, Alpha?

I understand this. I've been thinking of getting my Pentax MX or ME Super repaired and tuned up for shooting some B&W, lately.
