Assuming on a Rollei MF camera....

I'm in the process of saving up for a couple Zeiss lenses in Mmount myself.

there is an 85mm planar for K-mount, F-mount, as well as Sony AF.

It's just so unusual to see something that length open up that wide.

I guess you have never had the pleasure of shooting with the Canon 135mm f2L? I cried when i sold mine... but it went to something else I enjoy.

    Oh yeh...

When I mentioned it was for a MF Rollei, I was actually hinting at something you missed.

110mm focal length is not that long on a MF frame.

No, but it is on the wider side of ballpark for a portrait lens. And I don't know of any other MF lens that long that opens up that wide.

Better bring a mule: that mother weighs 1,3 kilograms!
The 2.8/80mm from Zeiss (the standard focal length for MF; like 50mm is the standard focal length for 35mm (film equivalent) format) is less than half that weight!

Well, I'd use it for my studio work.

And hire a sherpa for location shoots.
