I want to go pro, but....

I have a few questions:

1. how do I change the ISO on my camera? It seems stuck.
2. If I use a flash, will it lower my aperture?
3. I'm really having difficulty in MS Paint with adjusting my exposure. Can you tell me how to do this?
4. Are the apertures in my Nikon 18-55 f3.5 and my Nikon 50mm f1.8 interchangable?

Other than those things, I have a tremendous grasp on photography and feel I am ready to shoot for Road and Track and Glamour.

Is the best place to get started to go to my local preschool and ask the parents if they need pictures or should I go get a job at Sears instead?
