Yep...beards gone. I grow it super long like that about every other year. Then when I get tired of it...I just get rid of it.

Actually...the bg was lighted. But my choice of backdrops was so similar to the skin tones, that it kind of blended together, except the hat. But I darkened it with layers, so I could easily open up the color a little bit again.

After I posted my comment I looked at the image again and saw that you did have a light. Try one with the background light directional and narrow.
