    Oooo, I like these. Mostly so the second. Makes me look and look and look at all the colour shades frozen water can take up, and forms of crystallation, of course, too.

    But also the lines in the cracking ice of the last photo are really interesting. They make a lovely abstract!

    thank you very much. i like the second one to. it's got some varitey. no depth but, i like pretty patterns

    I like one and two, three needs something added to it. These pictures are making me feel better about living in NY our ice and snow are long gone, how much longer will that ice be around where you are in Canada?

    These were taken a month ago, there's a lot less snow and such around these days. (at least where I am, which is just as cold as where these were taken)

    My fave is the first one...I like the diagonal, shadowed ridge of snow that leads my eye from the bottom left into the shot, and the detail you got in the snow grains in the foreground.

    yep, a little less than a month. i had to canoe to work this week. and i fell through the ice at one point, up to my knees. it's almost dead
