We had a small ice storm the other night so I decided to try and snap a few before it all melted. CC welcome

awesome pictures man.i really like pictures 4,6, and 7.also the ones with the pinecones? i think.are very cool too!! :D

nice picture

i like #3 the leaf encased in ice and #6 icicle picture...

it's strange, i've kind of forgotten winter existed...have been living in the desert (las vegas) and thailand for the last 5 years...

nice pics man. #4 would of been sweet i think if not for the truck

Very interesting to see, and some nice colours in some, too, but the NOISE ...!
Have you ever tried to apply NeatImage to your pics. You can download a free demo version from www.neatimage.com and see what it can do to pics you were forced to take at high ISO.

Why did you shoot these at ISO 1600?

I know the noise is bad in these. I really have no idea why I shot these. It was from my last shoot and for some reason I did not think to change the setting which I obviously regretted.

Turns out we have another ice storm coming tonight so I will have the chance to take more photos this time under the correct setting

Oh, I've done that a lot. I've made it a habit to switch the ISO to 200 before I turn the camera off. I do try to check my setting when I pick the camera up, but I don't always remember to.
