These look good generally - good focus and depth of field. Exposure is good in the second one, possibly a tad overexposed in #1. Not quite sure about the composition though, it seems a little awkward.

agreed. despite all that, i still like these shots, you have a great subject here.
could you have done this without the flash? i would have like to see these photos without it.
