    Hi i'm lifa and I liked this kind of picture,, i got my Nikon D40x last christmas and i really wanna learn more how to use it.
    Please give me some input and advice and i really appreciate it :wink:[​IMG]

    As for the image, for something that profane, it looks very interesting. The first impression is not that of broken wood, but of some tropical flower.

    Very nice. Some will argue it is too centered, but I am not sure. Maybe vertical framing would be more suiting though.

    Is that Stirling in Scotland by the way?

    A nice shot, and if it pleases you, that's good. But, if you want some advice, you have to show us some of your bad stuff, too.

    i did't see it bfore but i already submit into the welcome section.
    yes, it was Stirling in Scotland.
    those pict was in bigger size before but i croped it.
    maybe i'll upload the original picture latter...

    i took this pict last spring with pocket camera.
    since i got my Nikon d40x i was really excited to get the same picture of blossom in the same place. ( and now the blossom is start to come out already).... but i always get problem of too much exposure or light. how to set u'r nikon for the best result ?
    (for now i just used auto mode from the camera)

    i can easily put some bad stuff cuz i got heaps of em (i think most of my shoot is failed :lol:)

    The second one is really nice. Did you have the camera sideways? Would of done better in landscape, but either way it's good.

    The first one is focused good, and even being centered is fitting. You did the background blurring work good.
