I like the second. The third needs some real vibrance added to the color.
yes, these are all straight out of camera! I am an over saturater by nature so no problem on adding the color! I only have my netbook, so I have to wait until I go home to edit them!
yeee the bay! thats where i'm from such a sik place! but anyways to the critique.
1) should of got a shot of all the cranes lined up
2) cool shot.
3) not doing anything for me. color seems off.
and the story on the lighthouse...
It is someones HOUSE! The state auctioned them off a few years ago, with the contract stating the coast guard must have access to the top light, becasue they are still functioning lighthouses.
That particular one sold for about 80 grand!
The couple is a family friend and they use it as a weekend house!
These are taken in the Chesapeake Bay. Virginia.
That lighthouse looks ... erm ... kind of ... SHORT.
As if it was in a flood and large parts of it got inundated.
I love harbour cranes.
A lot more than containers! More so when the containers are such a small element in the background only. So I feel this tugging inside of me, wanting for this photo to MOVE and move over to the right to get to see MORE of the cranes!
I have some pictures of the light house full frame. Let me post them, what the hell. I need to straighten most of them out (bumpy boat, 3 YO in one hand, you get the picture) and brighten them up but it is really neat!
oohhhhhhhhh ok i thought u meant the bay in California.
