I actually picked up my first DSLR less than a year ago, so yea, I would say I have improved A year ago I didn't know what any photographic terms meant (ISO, aperture, shutter speed).

To improve, I read and took lots of pictures. I've also spent a lot of money.

I'd say I've made some pretty good improvements.

My PP skills have seen the biggest improvement, I think my compositions have also improved a lot.

Brought that about by practicing, a lot.

Improved ten fold. I read a lot of books, watched a lot of dvd's, and shot a lot of digital and film. The biggest thing that I have impoved upon is lighting. I have a much better understanding of light, and lack of light.
