Very nice. You seem to get so close. Are these in a bird santuary or something? The one time I tried to get a photo of an eagle- he wouldn't stay still. Beautiful photos.

Yes.

And the Barn own was hit with a dead-on flash.

Despite the accolades you are getting, these are some serious shortcomings. I'm sure the bird didn't love the flash, either.
