    No it isn't. His face is too soft.

    I think if you cropped the 3rd image and focused on the boy you'd have a winning image.

    I couldn't agree more. I really like this one, it could be really great if it focused more on the boy...as said above.

    Everything about the gesture of the old man and scene is intriguing. His posture and pose... the frown... the despair in his eyes even though he might be blind or it's a deformity. He's on his way out of this world and he's still living the hand he was dealt at birth. The lighting also helps portray that possibly the darkness/the shadow is his reality... and the light is his next life. His next life hopefully will be better.
