Can anyone fill me in on the lowest Nikon model that has two independent, seperate AE/AF lock buttons. Bothers me that I'd have to go to the price point above a D90 to get them.

    Thanks!

Do you mean one button for AE, and one button for AF lock? I don't think any models have that. If you're talking about an AE/AF Lock and a separate AF ON button, that'd be the D300(s). You can view pictures of the back of all models on Nikon's site to the layout.

If you want DUAL buttons, you need a D1 or a D2 series body. These two older series of professional Nikon bodies had/have individual AE and AF buttons. The newer D3 series has combined the AE-L AF-L into a single button, plus the AF ON button.

The D300 and D700 also have a combined AE-L/AF-L button, plus an AF-ON button.

There are multiple ways in which to configure the system in the custom settings menu fields.
