My husband has been out of town this weekend, so I got in the car and drove around to see what I could find. My goal with these was to shoot every day stuff and try to make it look a little artistic. I don't know if I actually accomplished that, but I think they turned out alright

Thanks for the compliments :) The first one is my favorite. I want to go back and get more pics of those mills. I found the place and then chickened out because it had everything with security and cameras and I was afraid I would get harassed. I had a lot of fun scouting out spots. I probably drove 75 miles that day -- which is a lot considering I only live 3 miles from work :)

How do these compare to the originals? I was playing with applying the "Orton Effect" in PS.

I'm very new (Christmas) to photography, so I haven't gotten that far into my experimentation yet. I just got my tripod last week, so I should maybe go redo some of these that were close by and give it a shot.

I did recently start shooting in RAW too, which I think you need to do for HDR, correct?
