Here are a couple of Valentines pics I took of my 1 month old, C & C appreciated. They look a little underexposed to me but only had the light from the living room and pop up flash.

not horrible, but could use some improvements. they are quite dark, although clearly your background wasnt the focus here. i like the first one much better then the second.

I have a tendency to darken them to much in PS when I am trying to make certain things pop such as rings,in this one being her head band.I gues you could say its a bad habbit im trying to break

I like the use of selective color here. It effectively draws attention away from the subject.

On a more serious tone, try also colouring the eyes or something on the baby, all I can focus on is a big pink headband. Unless that's all the subject is supposed to be...
