hello, i hope in im the right place.

does anyone know where i can buy some COLOR infrared film online?
im looking for 35mm and 120.

BH only has B&W, and color infrared slide film.

Gosh, B&H would have been my best guess. Does the Kodak site sell directly to consumers?

slightly off topic, any one know if there is any infrared sensitivity on a digital camera, say a D70 or coolpix4300, or does the lowpass filter remove all the longer wavelenths? thanks for consideration of what may well be a really stupid question. dean.

and i think it was discontinued a looong time ago. they replaced it
with some other types that can be found here:

thanks for the links,
kodak is the only brand that makes color infrared, and its slide film.

nope; it's used mostly for "Aerial" photography. read the links again....

1443 Film features:
Lower contrast for improved shadow and highlight detail
Higher resolution for sharper images
New processing options, including Process C-41
Enhanced color balance for easier information extraction
Improved film backing reduces static and scratching for cleaner film scanning

Most digital cameras are sensitive to IR light, even with the lowpass filter. I take IR shots with my Canon Digital Rebel. Exposures have to be longer, from 6-30 seconds, and the ISO has to be cranked up. You can get excellent results nonetheless.

That the only 35mm color IR film I have seen, also prints can be made for slides.

I have haft a row of the EIR in camera now and full row that need to be developed. hope to shoot it this weekend

Freestyle Photo has an example of EIR by photographer Michael Tullberg, he has more at his pbase page. http://www.pbase.com/mtullberg/modern_surrealism&page=1

Kodak Aerial page list Infrared Film 1443, but the smallest roll size is 70mm

that's slide film. he's looking for negative.

You can make prints from slides. I do it every once in a while at work (Walgreens Photo Lab). If they have one of the Fuji machines, which i think all of the stores do now, you just need tech who knows how to do a little more than just run the machine. Try going during the morning/ early afternoon during the week, thats when the lead tech's usually work.
