Can others edit my Photos
Photos OK to edit
I'm very new, so trying to learn slowly
was trying to figure out how to get a decent exposure while shooting on manual.
wasn't overly concerned with composition, as my model was less than cooperative.
I used an aperature of 5.6 and adjusted shutter speed until the camera was showing a good exposure (on that -2---------0----------+2 thing (sorry for the ignorance, I'm a sloow learner)
middle of the day (say around 3?) and we were in the shade.

constructive criticism greatly appreciated
thanks!

While I can't be of much assistance on the main point, you want to enclose the link to the image in [img][/img] tags to embed it in your post. :)

thanks copacetic

I would say that you suceeded; your subject is sharply focused, and while her hat is slightly brighter than would be ideal, her face is perfectly exposed, and the background is nicely out of focus.

thanks for your input tirediron
so I'm on the right track, can't wait to get out with the camera this am
this is very addictive

I definitely love the depth of field on this. I also like how you framed it (having the subject at the far left). The only thing I might change is that there appears to be a boulder of some kind in the back ground that appears near the rim of her cap. If that wasn't there, I think she might pop out of the picture even more? Just a thought. Otherwise, wonderful job!
