I would have preferred the second one if you had moved 45' to the right and had out of focus foilage in the background rather than the house.

The first one loses impact because of the out of focus elements in the foreground which distract from the subject.

You did a nice job with the exposure on the second image, keeping the flowers well-lit without blowing out the sky. Well done!
