I have taken a few shots like this, do you find them interesting or too flat. I know these types of people pictures tell a story to me can you feel what I am tring to get across. To me when I took the picture I was seeing two people watching at a fire scene, possibly taking a break or something.

i'm thinking too flat, there needs to be some way for them to pop out from the background. interesting expressions

IMO, this is underexposed some. I moved the levels a little.
Since they are both staring off left, it might have been more interesting to have the picture at a slight angle so they are staring left and away rather than directly perpendicular.
